Odyssey Squad Artwork!!!

A lot of people have been asking me to post some artwork from Odyssey Squad; So I tried to get together a few examples of things I had to design, develop and work with other talented artists along the way to make this thing happen. I love the exploration that goes along with a new project; especially if it's your own! So here it is and I hope it's something you'd like to feast your eyes on.

Odyssey Squad

Hey everybody,
Last year I began making a short with Nickelodeon called Odyssey Squad and it's finally online! After countless versions and a variety of executive hoops to jump through, I finally got something that slightly resembles the original idea. I still had a blast making it though; I guess that's just how the game goes sometimes. But it's still got some cool things; my friend Andres Salaff did some voices, as well as that dude Badger from Breaking Bad. Also got some amazing backgrounds from the wonderfully talented Pvose. Death Squad Cats

While at work I listen to a lot of podcasts; especially Death Squad ones. It just so happened that I ran into the guy who runs all the shows, Brian Redban, randomly in Los Angeles one night. He bought my friends and I all beers and taught us all about the wonders of dolphin vagina; it was hilarious! Turns out, he's also a fan of a bunch of stuff on Cartoon Network - so we told him to come in sometime. In the meantime, I had to draw him some Death Squad cats as a "Thanks for the beer!" Well it turns out, D.S. Cats are more addicting to draw than I anticipated. Check em out and also check out deathsquad.tv!

Silent Auction Fundraiser

Recently finished a painting for the Wildlife Learning Center Silent Auction Fundraiser. The event goes down April 6th (5pm to 8pm). All proceeds will go toward feeding and care of the animals at the center. The name of this particular piece is called: Chilean Rose-Hair Tarantula = Bad Ass!

Good Day Sacramento Spot

Just recently went back to speak at Sheldon High School (my alma mater btw) to give a guest lecture about being a character designer for television. It was a great day and I think around 300 people showed up. Here is a video of Cole Sanchez and me plugging the event.
